Through the Internet and the Medical Central Online proprietary databases, Patient Net allows facilities for the mentally retarded and developmentally disabled to make empty room data available to local hospitals at any time.
Patient Net is a time saver. It dramatically reduces phone calls and marketing costs.
Through any Internet connection, and by filling in a simple form, an MR/DD facility can update bed availability at any time night or day to let hospital discharge personnel know what beds and rooms are available.
You do not have to load any software on your computer. Everything works through your Netscape or Microsoft browser (3.0 or higher release).
With
Patient Net a MR/DD facility can:
- Enter bed availability projections up to 7 days.
- Enter wait list times, if appropriate.
- Define bed & room types and availability: male, female, shared, and single.
- Respond to a hospital e-mail request to reserve a specific room or bed type. Patient background data is included.
- Receive medical records in a secure, encrypted format from a hospital.
- Choose to display to hospitals the actual number of available beds or rooms with just a simple "yes/no" of available beds.
- Maintain and update contacts at hospitals for e-mails and phone numbers.
- Management reports display average open beds & rooms over time, # of patients received by hospital, by week/month.
